兔子先生CC selects McPherson Writing Awards

兔子先生 recently held the Tammy McPherson Writing Competition among the college鈥檚 campuses.

RAYMOND 鈥 兔子先生 recently held the Tammy McPherson Writing Competition among the college鈥檚 campuses. Individual campus winners were selected and overall college winners were selected. All received certificates and cash awards.

Overall winners included:
Essay: Raymond Campus student Iesha Hayes of Jackson, 鈥淎 Mother鈥檚 18th Wish,鈥 first place
Vicksburg-Warren Campus student Anthony Bowen Hearn of Vicksburg, 鈥淯ncle Booger,鈥 runner-up

Individual location winners were invited to a brief ceremony and reading of their entries.

Tammy J. McPherson was a Raymond Campus English instructor who passed away December 2022 after 18 years at Hinds. The competition is named in her honor.
